Welcome to the world, baby boy!
My baby sister Mollie was the cutest baby in the world. I remember her very distinctly, since I was a teenager when she was born. She was our living doll, the subject of all our photos, our pride and joy. She still is, as a matter of fact, and she just gave birth to her fourth child, a son, and he’s every bit as beautiful as she was. He’s also healthy and strong and perfect and sweet and he smells like honeysuckle.
I want to keep him.
Welcome to the world, wee Milo Walden!
“It is a pleasant thing to reflect upon, and furnishes a complete answer to those who contend for the gradual degeneration of the human species, that every baby born into the world is a finer one than the last.” –Charles Dickens

Love babies and Charles Dickens. This post warmed my heart and yes, I can just imagine the smell of honeysuckle from this little one.
Thank you Kal!
What a beautiful miracle. Thanks for sharing the picture. And congratulations to your sister.
Thank you Cheryl!
Milo wants to stay in HIS house! You just be the cuddly aunt, Amy…
Okay, Roy, I guess I can do that . . . 😉
Congrats to you and your family! You are such a great big sister remembering so vividly what your baby sister looks like. Me and my sister are only 3 years apart so I don’t remember her face that vividly. I remember my mom leaving for the hospital and me and my brother waving her goodbye. I remember her coming back – she had lots of baby powder on for some reason.. LOL And when she came back she had my sister but as I try to remember, I can’t see her face. I’m going to cut myself some slack since I was three..
Again congrats to your beautiful family and yay Milo.. you’re here!
Tamala,
That sounds like a lot of memories for a 3-year old! I’d say you did very well! And thank you!
New babies are such a blessing. Our own little granddaughter is just 3 wks olds. I believe God gives us babies to remind us of miracles and of his amazing skills as the maker of life. I hope Milo has fun with his auntie.
I received a card once, Shawn, when I had just given birth, that said “Congratulations on the baby . . . . so fresh from God you can almost still see the wings.” And I still think of that.
Oh, Auntie Amy! Milo is just so beautiful! Congratulations to your whole family on this precious gift. I never thought I would miss the just-born stage, but I really do. Thank you for sharing your wonderful news!
Thank you Suerae. That just-born phase is over in a heartbeat!
